I want to use this journal to become completely transparent with all of you.
I really feel like I haven't been performing up to par recently with my commissions as well as my personal work. It feels like most of my time goes into commissions, leaving me not much for myself. This doesn't help my morale, and as such, commissions are completed not as fast as they certainly could be.
This use of time, of course, is entirely up to me, and I will be using the coming weeks to both finish all my remaining commissions, develop personal projects, make studies, and move towards a work schedule that serves my efficiency and my health in a far superior way.
Part of the intent for this break is developing my skills. I intend to improve my rendering and efficiency drastically compared to the past three years, with more studies, involved scenes, realism, as well as some playful surrealism and abstraction. This will also involve shifting my style to experiment with what is in alignment with the type of art I want to be creating. So prepare to see new art like you've never seen from me before
I intend to resume taking commissions again after everything on my (quite long) queue is completed, and I will be offering more expansive options as I broaden my focus.
Thank you to all of you who have been with me on this long journey supporting me on the way! It means more than I can say here, but thank you, thank you. I am so grateful.
**Anyone who has mentioned interest in commissions and larger projects prior to this journal, but hasn't quite put in the order yet, we're still on! Send me a note when you're ready**
